Animal Care Services

City of Long Beach Animal Care Services Department serves, protects and shelters homeless companion animals by placing them into humane environments and promoting responsible pet ownership.

El Dorado Dog Park Advocates

Advocates for the 1.5-acre off-leash dog park in northeast Long Beach at El Dorado Park. Supports the first dog park in northeast Long Beach with ADA accessibility.

Friends of Bixby Dog Park

Advocates for Bixby Dog Park maintenance and improvements. Works to make the dog park at 130 Cherry Ave a better place for dogs and their owners in the Long Beach community.

Friends of Bixby Park

Nonprofit organization dedicated to rehabilitating historic Bixby Park and sharing vision for the park's future. Organizes cleanups, events, and community engagement.

El Dorado Nature Center

Supports the 105-acre natural wildlife sanctuary at El Dorado Regional Park. Features 2 miles of trails, lakes, and habitat for over 150 bird species and diverse wildlife.

Long Beach Municipal Band

America's oldest city-funded municipal band, celebrating 116th season in 2025. Provides free outdoor summer concerts in Long Beach parks since 1909.

Friends of Heartwell Park

Community group supporting Heartwell Park maintenance and programming. Works to enhance park facilities and organize community events for local residents and families.

Friends of Rec Park Bandshell

Supports the Recreation Park Bandshell and its programming. Advocates for maintenance and events at this historic Long Beach venue for community concerts and performances.

Holiday Trees in the Bay

Supports Long Beach's iconic floating Christmas tree tradition dating back to 1949. Features 67 illuminated trees throughout Alamitos Bay, Rainbow Harbor, and waterways.

Juneteenth Celebrations
