The 99s Airmarking

The wonderful women pilots of the Ninety-Nines are continued their long tradition of volunteering their time to paint a distinctive marking near or on an airfield to let other pilots know of the location. On Saturday, June 11, 2011 the women pilots from the Long Beach Chapter of the Ninety-Nines painted a navigation compass in a 36-foot circle set at the end of the “flight path” at the south end of the park.
